Obituary for Stevin L. Hamilton

Stevin “Stevie” L. Hamilton, 49, died Sunday, April, 8, 2018, in his home from complications related to his liver and brain. Stevin died peacefully in his sleep.

Born in Santa Cruz, California May 27, 1968, where his mother worked as a Seamstress. Stevin spent most of his early childhood with his father in Zachary, Louisiana where his father worked as a Carpenter, while living there he attended Northeast High School. He left Louisiana before graduating and became a resident of Denver, Colorado, where he graduated from Overland High School.

He leaves behind sisters: Annette L. Hunter and Paulmiko C. Parker; brothers: Loyd Hamilton Jr., Loyd Hamilton III, Shedrick T. Hamilton, Charles L Waters nieces: Kyleah L. Johnson, Nydia R. Johnson, Laneisha Waters, Tiara Jackson and Akira A. Hamilton; one nephew, Loyd Hamilton IV.

He was preceded in death by his father Loyd Hamilton Sr. in 2001, his mother Schirley J. Jennings in 2012, his sister Charmine E. Dunn; his uncle Claud Johnson Jr., his nephew Tyrael L. Adams in 2015.

Additionally, he is survived by his extended family from his father side; Eddie Huggins, Wanda Huggins Gross, Augustine Johnson, Evelina T. Jones, Melvin Thompson, Jamie Dunn, Jessica Hickman and others with a host of nieces and nephews.

Stevin loved his family and friends. He was the type of person who you could trust as a friend. He had a great sense of humor, with a contagious smile. He was full of laughter and love for all. He lived a vigorous life with a carefree spirit. He’ll be missed deeply by all who had known him and shared in his life’s journey.
