Obituary for Paul Gray, Jr.

Obituary Paul Gray Jr.; affectionately known as Paul Jr., entered the world on Sept. 7,1984 in Chicago Heights, IL. He was the third child born to the union of Paul and Sharon Gray. Paul Jr. grew up in Aurora, Colorado and attended Central High School. Paul Jr. was a free spirit and a friend to all. To know him was to love him and it was such a pleasure to be apart of his life. He contributed to the betterment of many and was always willing to go out of his way to help others. Paul Jr. loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them at family dinners and barbecues the most. He also enjoyed listening to and recording music, watching football and basketball, skateboarding, fast cars and hanging out with friends. We will always remember his infectious smile, his sense of humor, his strong will, incredible strength, and who could forget that laugh!! He was a deep thinker and very easy to talk to, not to mention easy on the eyes! He was loyal to his core and you could confide in him. He was wise beyond his years and always kept it real. Those left behind to cherish Paul Jr's memory include his older sisters Anntonette Michele Sparks (William), Paulette Ilene Gray, his twin Paula Chanae Gilmore (Andre), and his younger sister Jasmine Shanel Gray. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many good friends. He was preceded in death by both parents Sharon and Paul Sr., his brother Paul Jawon Gray and his baby sister Ashley Lakita Gray . Paul Jr. departed this life on Nov. 7th, 2017. He was loved, he is irreplaceable and he will be missed by all. Your brother is your first male friend in life. No one will ever understand your craziness like your brother. Even if you don’t get together, or talk as much as you’d like, he always remains your friend. While people come and go in your life, your brother will be in your heart for a lifetime.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” Matthew 6:25-27

Footprints
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that at the worst times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. How could you leave me when I needed you the most?" The Lord replied, " My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of suffering and when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
